Performance: Key of T 

  • Interactive performance experience that includes storytelling, documentation of Ari’s changing voice, soundscape, and singing, featuring Ari, a collaborative pianist, and everyone in the audience!

Research Presentation/Workshop 

  • Participatory presentation/workshop drawing from research documenting how Ari’s singing voice changed with testosterone and their embodied experience of going through a dramatic voice change as a person of voice
  • Presentation on the complex interplay between voice and identity and what we can learn from transgender voice transitions
  • Customizable for different areas and disciplines, including voice performance, voice pedagogy, music education/choral studies, speech-language pathology/medicine/allied health, theatre, performance studies, women’s and gender studies, queer studies, etc.
  • Can be tailored for various audiences, including academic, student, professional, community groups, conferences, museums, etc.

Key of T short documentary film

A 2019 short documentary film lays the groundwork for what Key of T has become today. You can screen the film, followed by commentary/Q&A with Ari, or perhaps include it as part of a group of other queer shorts from your community!
